Responsibilities
- Work in an agile engineering environment, collaborating with engineers and designers from concept to delivery
- Take ownership of the product and translate business requirements into technical requirements and API specifications
- Develop and execute on software architecture and development plans to bring products to life
- Contribute to ensure high-quality code through following best practices, test automation and design patterns
- Perform code reviews for others and respond to code reviews on your code
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years production experience with modern JavaScript (ES6, TypeScript, npm, yarn, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of React and Node.js
- Experience building backend web services, REST APIs and working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong experience with a backend JS framework (e.g. Koa, Express, Hapi)
- Strong experience with complex frontend applications (SPAs) and state management in Redux
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven track record in building and maintaining complex applications with strong architectural understanding
Nice to have
- TypeScript
- Experience building and shipping React Native applications
- Advanced knowledge of AWS
